1st Messenger Journey to Asia

Last November, Timothy II and Ozzie Cinko left the United States to meet up with the Reverend Benny Navarro in the Philippines. From there the three of them headed out to Hong Kong, China, and Korea for the "First Messenger Journey to Asia."

In Korea, they saw many healings. By the time they arrived there, Ozzie was in a wheelchair after injuring his back in China. Benny writes; "We discovered that Ozzie in his wheelchair gave us some privileges. Like not being in line in immigration (because disabled persons have their own way including their companions). When we left immigration, Dr. Hee Suh Lee, our Korean contact, together with Rev. Jung L Park and two more pastors were already waiting for us. They had been in the airport since 2:00pm misreading our departure from Hong Kong as our arrival in Korea. They rushed to meet us with excitement. It seems they had used our Holy Anointing Oil when praying for people and began to see some miracles. This was a first for our Presbyterian brothers. We had given them the Oil in the Philippines after some reservations they had about using it. It seemed God had already paved the way for us in Korea." God did much here. I think one of the main highlights that all on the team shared with us was of the love that the Korean brethren had for them. They saw healings and miracles, but like 1st Corinthians 13:13 says;
"But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

There is so much more to tell of what God did on this First Messenger Journey to Asia.

2nd Messenger Journey to Asia

The miracle on the airplane:
By Timothy II

Before we left, Ozzie and I were having a hard time upgrading to Business Class with our PAL rewards program, which upgrades for miles previously flown. I told the Lord that if He wanted us to fly coach because there was someone we were to minister to, that it is fine with me. Through the persistence of Bernadette, we finally were booked for Business class at LAX.

On the plane, we were seated across from where the Stewardesses sit for landings and takeoffs. As we were getting close to the Philippines, one of the Stewardesses that sat across from us returned before we were getting ready to land. I noticed that she was in extreme pain. I asked her if she was all right, and she said no, she had a terrible earache and was in extreme pain. She said she had done everything to stop it but nothing worked. The pilot told her to go lay down, but that didn't help either. There was no medical help on board, so there was nothing she could do except suffer until we landed.

I asked her if she would like Ozzie and I to pray for her, and she said Yes, Yes! I took her hand and began to pray for her while Ozzie anointed her with the "Holy Anointing Oil". While Ozzie was still praying for her, she began smiling and getting excited. She was healed instantly and we hadn't even finished with our prayers. Soon she jumped up and said she thought there would be a popping in her ear, but it just quit hurting and all the pain was instantly gone. We told her to thank Jesus. She was Catholic and understood what we meant.

She went and told all the Stewardesses what had happened and we became a little embarrassed. We gave her some Godly Wisdom about following up with Prayer, Bible Study, and going to Church regularly, which she agreed to do.

As we were leaving the plane, we saw her telling the pilots and pointing to us. We just smiled and went on and praised the Lord for letting us minister for Him, and also letting us fly Business Class.

The Journey:
By: Rev. Benny Navarro (Timothy II Asian Director)

Timothy and Ozzie arrived at the Manila Airport on Wed. May 1, when the Philippines was celebrating Labor Day. It was a welcome treat to both of them because they did not have to encounter the famous Manila traffic. On Thurs. we had dinner with Dr. Lee from Korea. He gave us some praise reports from our Journey last year to Korea. The miracles the Lord had accomplished in a Presbyterian Church where we had ministered, have lasted. One man who had a cancer operation and given up for dead just days before our meeting is alive and doing well. A 60 year old man with Diabetes is now cured and takes no insulin. A woman with a discolored and deformed face is gradually changing in appearance just as the Lord had said. PTL.

On Fri. May 3, we met with Bro. Ben Yu, the chairman of Tribes and Nations Outreach to give us some pointers and acquaint us with their ministries in Thailand. It was a very pleasant and informative meeting.

Tim II and Ozzie enjoyed the newly repaired air-conditioned room at the Covenant House reserved for all the Messengers of God. They also had the time to visit Atlas Shippers in Las Pinas, Paranaque, and met with Roger Longares (Joel's brother) who is in charge in the Philippines, and his assistant Geraldine.

Introduction to India:  (The Land With 330 Million Gods)
By area, India is the seventh largest country in the world, but by population, it is the second largest. Summer it is hot everywhere, and it was HOT! Hindi is the official language of India, but English is also used. The most remarkable thing that a Christian should know about India is that it is the land where there are 330 million gods. Please don't ask me who or what they are. Bangalore, the capital of the state of Karnataka was the center of our 2nd Messenger Journey. It is known as the Silicon Valley of India.

The Journey Continued:
Finally on May 14, we flew from Manila to Bangkok, and to our connecting flight to Bangalore, India. We arrived in Bangkok at 2:40 pm and from there took another plane on India Air, to Bangalore. We arrived at 12:55 am the next day at the Bangalore International Airport, and we were so tired that we could not almost lift our heavy suitcases. However, when we reached the lobby, we were greeted by a welcome sight. There was Pastor David with his boys displaying a big banner that said: "WELCOME, TIMOTHY II, OZZIE CINKO AND BENNY NAVARRO". Leis were placed over our necks, which according to Pastor David is their way of welcoming and honoring their important visitors. They helped us with our suitcases to their mini bus and whisked us to the United Theological Seminary that was our home for the next seven days. Our room had three beds and a bathroom; though not air-conditioned, it had a ceiling fan and was comfortable. We all slept like logs that night in spite of the heat.

We woke up the next day with excitement and great anticipation. It was the first day of the TIMOTHY II LEADERSHIP TRAINING in Bangalore.

After breakfast, Pastor David took us from UTC to the venue of the Leadership Training. The praise and worship had already started and there were already many people there. The three of us were immediately brought to the stage where a red banner prominently hung announcing the Timothy II Leadership Training and our three names painted in yellow and even mentioning our country of origin, from the U.S.A. and the Philippines.

The original plan was to hold the training seminar at the church of Pastor David but because he anticipated a much bigger crowd, a tent was erected at the corner of his street, big enough to hold from 200 to 300 participants. No, it is not the kind of big tent used by Kathryn Kuhlman during her Crusade days, this is the kind of tent that will remind you of the 'Arabian Nights' movie days. Before us were brothers and sisters who have one Lord, members of one Body, possessing one Spirit, and have received one Baptism.

After Timothy II pens were passed out to all those in attendance, Ozzie gave the first talk. He elaborated on the role and work of "God's Messenger". Tim II then spoke on the "Seven Golden Candlesticks", the different conditions of the church today. I spoke last, on "Christian Leadership". We had to use interpreters because India has more than 1,600 dialects and more than 40 major languages. In Bangalore, Kannada, Urdu and Tamil are the three languages commonly used and our participants spoke in an assortment of these languages.
We had snacks after each session and we finished at 2:00 pm India time and went to downtown Bangalore. There were no McDonalds because most of the Indians do not eat beef. After lunch, Pastor David brought us back to UTC to rest.

This is the time that we really felt who the three of us were. No, we cannot continue to kid ourselves. We can never be the Three Musketeers, Timothy at 71, Ozzie, 63 and myself, 60 no! The Three Wise Men, yes! At these ages, we cannot be the foot soldiers we would like to be. As missionaries, we decided to become the generals. We give and receive orders…lying down.

Like low batteries, we needed to recharge. We took a long nap that afternoon and woke up refreshed and prepared for the evening Revival Crusade. We were told that we needed to finish at 8:30 pm because the participants would be going home to far places and most of them would be walking. Chairs had to be added that evening because of the crowd. I was asked to do the Evangelistic Preaching.

I preached the Gospel and after that lead everybody in the Sinners Prayer. Many Hindus accepted Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. After that, the three of us ministered by praying for the sick and anointing them with our Anointing Oil. Healings and deliverances were greatly manifested during the ministering time. One little boy that Tim II prayed for looked like he had Leprosy on his foot, which he anointed with Oil. Another little boy, a Pastor's son, had an eye that was instantly healed.

We had a much bigger crowd the next day. Many people were involved, especially in the praise and worship activities. Participants were all smiling and enthusiastic. No one showed boredom or impatience and they were all taking notes.

In the evening, we had another Revival Crusade and more people came to be ministered to. I preached on Salvation and Tim II and Ozzie ministered to the people. Again, many accepted Christ and received healings and deliverances.

Friday was the last day of the Leadership Seminar. The crowd had fully swelled to between 200 and 300 people, most of who were Pastors from various denominations. More chairs were added to accommodate everybody and more food was prepared and brought in to feed all the attendees.

By this time, we felt we already had our breakthroughs. We had already proclaimed the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the whole of Bangalore and had proven that the Spirit of God is more powerful than all of the 330 million gods of India combined.

On this day, the sun was shining brightly although it threatened to rain. The whole atmosphere was festive. The feeling was light and everybody was greeting each other with the love of the Lord. This time, almost all Pastors from all of Bangalore were present. There were more praise and worship songs, of course all Indian, and the Spirit of God was there. The Spirit of love, joy and peace was manifested all over the place.

Certificates of Attendance from Timothy II were given to all of those who attended, and a vial of Anointing Oil was given to each Pastor in attendance. The three of us were "honored" once again by the placing of leis over our heads. At this time, I announced the appointment of Pastor David as our Coordinator for all of India. We gave him a Certificate and anointed him with Oil. We ended the Seminar with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts and wished that we could still prolong it and to continue the wonderful fellowship and camaraderie that had been started.

Afterwards, Pastor David informed us that our flight to Bangkok had been confirmed. However, we would be rerouted to Madras, India, where we would take our flight to Bangkok. That was good enough for us. Bangkok was waiting for us. That evening it rained and our venue-tent was soaking wet, so we had to transfer to the church of Pastor David. This was the venue for our "Women in Ministries" Seminar held Saturday. About 100 women attended this Seminar. The three of us gave our teachings, which were enthusiastically received.
Sunday, we ministered to five different churches. I was assigned to two, Ozzie to two, while Timothy ministered to CTKMI, the church of Pastor David. We all preached the Word of God and ministered to the churches to which we were assigned. Then we all met at the house of Pastor David where we had our lunch. In the evening, we were brought by Pastor David and his wife, Sama, to the "Water Concert" which is fountains of water dancing to the tune of music. It was a delightful way to spend the evening.

On our last full day in Bangalore, we were shown the facilities of the Children's Orphanage where over 60 children are being taken care of. Most of these children are totally orphaned or abandoned by their parents. They are housed, clothed, fed and educated by the staff of the orphanage. We were informed that there is no subsidy given to the orphanage except for the funds that are raised by the ministries of Pastor David. The children, courtesy of Sister Sama and Teacher Asenla Tamil, treated us to several dance numbers. We then were given lunch which was served by the children. What a wonderful experience it was, as we felt that we were being ministered to by the children.

On to Thailand:
We arrived at Bangkok International Airport at 7:50 pm and were met by Ptr. Manat, the assistant Pastor of Pastor Pedro, a Filipino, who has a big ministry in the Thai-Laotian border.

When he mentioned to us that we were to take the train from the airport to travel 8 hours to Chemai, our jaws dropped. We were too tired and not in a position to go anywhere but to bed. When we told him, he felt disappointed, but we stood our ground. He suggested that I call Pastor Jonathan Bautista the Filipino pastor of Agape Christian Ministries and talk to him. When I called he told me to wait in the lobby of the nearby hotel and he will pick us up. His 3-story ministry home was very near the airport and it had comfortable mattresses on the floor in an air-conditioned room waiting for us.

After a short fellowship, we all "hit the sack", thanking the Lord for a safe arrival.
The next day, we felt in our spirit that we should not go on as planned. We felt the Lord's work was accomplished for this Journey and we were tired and out of funds. We stayed in Bangkok for two days and two nights with Bro. Jonathan and we formed a kinship with him and with his staff of young ladies that minister at the Agape Christian Church and house. They told us they had been praying for some Leadership materials just before we arrived. When we produced our CD's with all of our Leadership materials, they cried.

After this Jonathan agreed to be our Coordinator in Thailand for the distribution of the Timothy II materials. He also invited us to stay with them anytime we came through Bangkok, and he would have various Pastors come to the House to meet with us. Later that day, we got to see downtown Bangkok when Pastor Jonathan took us to the office of Thai-Airways to confirm our flight to Manila. We got to walk around downtown and even meet Jonathan's Indian friend whose ministry is giving a Bible Study inside a prison.

Conclusion:
Truly, the emphasis of this 2nd Messengers Journey was centered in India. I believe that this is the plan of God. India is a stronghold of the enemy with only 2.8% of the entire one billion population that is Christian, and there are very few workers in this vast harvest field. India needs much prayer simply because it is the land with 330 million gods. The good news is that God is pouring out His Spirit upon India and we believe millions will be Saved in Jesus Name! Amen!
